Speaker: Andre Thornton 

Former Cleveland Indians player and All-Star, President & CEO of ASW Global

 Andre Thornton played professional baseball for 21 years, including 11 with the Cleveland Indians where he is 9th on their career HR list. He was a two time All-Star, a Silver Slugger, and honored recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award in 1979, which goes to the player who best exemplifies the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement, and team contribution. Beyond baseball, Thornton has spent over 30 years in entrepreneurial ventures, including serving as a founding principal” to a restaurant management group that sold to Applebee’s International. In 2007 Thornton acquired ASW Global, a supply chain management company in Mogadore, Ohio. Also, Andre and his wife Gail have been married for 46 years and have 3 adult sons. Finally, Thornton is the author of the book, “Triumph Born of Tragedy”, which recounts his response to a tragic life event.
