Eventbrite fees for nonprofits, and what you'd save

Every dollar of fees is a dollar that doesn't reach your mission. Here is what Eventbrite charges, what AnyRegistration charges, and a calculator to see the difference for your own event.

What Eventbrite charges

For events in the United States, Eventbrite charges a ticketing fee on every paid ticket, made of two parts:

Eventbrite does not discount ticketing fees for nonprofits. Its help center says there are no discounted ticketing fee rates for nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits can apply for 50% off Eventbrite's paid Pro plan, but that discount doesn't apply to ticketing fees.

Donations sold as Eventbrite donation tickets in the United States carry no service fee, but the 2.9% payment processing fee still applies.

On Eventbrite, buyers pay the fees by default, and you can choose to absorb them into your ticket price instead. Either way someone pays them: your guests on top of the ticket, or your organization out of what you raise.

What AnyRegistration charges

The cap is where a nonprofit gala or golf outing saves the most. A $5,000 sponsorship carries a $25 platform fee with us. On Eventbrite, the service fee alone on that sponsorship sold as a ticket is $186.79.

What else is different for a nonprofit

No attendee accounts

Your guests register with their name and email. Nobody has to create an account to buy a ticket.

Your guests stay yours

We don't market other organizations' events to the people who register for yours. Your page shows your event and nothing else.

One checkout for everything

Tickets, tables, sponsorships and donations are bought together, so a table host can add a gift without starting over.

Invoices for sponsors who pay by check

A business can ask for an invoice at checkout. You record the payment when the check arrives, with no card processing on it.

Receipts that state fair market value

Set the fair market value of a dinner or a round of golf and the receipt states it, so donors know what part is deductible.

Everything included

There is no subscription and no plan to upgrade. Floor plans, check-in, name tags, reminders and surveys come with every account.

Questions nonprofits ask

What does Eventbrite charge a nonprofit per ticket?

The same as everyone else. In the United States that is a 3.7% + $1.79 service fee per paid ticket plus a 2.9% payment processing fee on the order, according to Eventbrite's pricing and help pages as of October 13, 2026. Eventbrite says it has no discounted ticketing fees for nonprofits.

Does Eventbrite charge fees on donations?

In the United States, Eventbrite donation tickets carry no service fee, but the 2.9% payment processing fee applies. AnyRegistration charges no platform fee on donations; card processing of 3% applies.

What does AnyRegistration charge?

Free events are free. Paid tickets, tables and sponsorships cost $1 + 1.5% each, capped at $25 per item, plus card processing of 3% + 35 cents. Donations carry no platform fee. There is no subscription and every feature is included.

Can my guests pay the fees instead of my organization?

Yes, on both. Eventbrite passes its fees to buyers by default and lets you absorb them. With AnyRegistration you choose who pays the fees: your organization, the buyer, or let the buyer decide.

How much would my nonprofit save?

It depends on what you sell. On a $50 ticket the difference is $1.49; on a $1,000 table it is $21.44; on a $5,000 sponsorship it is $156.44, because our platform fee stops at $25 an item. Use the calculator on this page with your own numbers.
